Craig Elder

Craig Elder started his career in the Oil and Gas industry in 1981 as a geological draftsman working for Wildcat Mapping. While working for Wildcat he was contracted to Gadsco, Inc. and later became a Gadsco employee. While working at Gadsco, Craig was mentored by many geologists, geophysicists, and engineers for whom he did drafting. In 1985 Gadsco drilled the first well originated by Craig. The well was a success and Craig began working as both a geologist and a draftsman. In 1986 Gadsco was closing, but the owners of the company offered Craig the opportunity to start a new company with them and Spartan Resources was formed. After working as a geologist for Spartan for three years, Craig decided to start his own company, Craig Elder Oil and Gas, L.L.C.
